This is a very quick and simple injectable treatment using Botulinum Toxin (more commonly known as Botox®), which can offer significant improvements of the symptoms of hyperhidrosis, for up to 6 months, before maintenance treatments are required.
During this treatment, small injections of Botulinum Toxin Type A are placed into the skin, around the areas of concern, such as the underarms, back, soles of the feet and the hands. A numbing ointment may be used before the injections are administered. The treatment takes no longer than 15 to 30 minutes (without numbing time) and results can be experienced within a few days and last several months.
